New Delhi: Amid Congress's demand for proof of Balakot air strike where more than 300 terrorists have reportedly been killed by the Indian Air Force in an aerial strike, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday said that "government is not obliged to give proof to them."
"Our point is clear. We are not obliged to give proof of the attack to those who are demanding for the same," said Hardeep Singh Puri on a question asked by ETV Bharat.
"With the help of technical guidance, the attack on JeM camps took place. This attack was neither against Pakistani military nor civilians," said Puri.
Puri's statements, however, contradicted two other cabinet minister's statement. Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, as well as Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, earlier claimed that the aerial attack had killed more than 300 JeM terrorists in Balakot.
