New Delhi: Terming the central government as "fully transparent" in all aspects, BJP MP and former minister of state for finance Shiv Pratap Shukla on Monday said that the Congress was unnecessarily creating trouble in the parliament over the economic issues.
The Narendra Modi-led central government is fully transparent and was doing everything possible to deal with the issues that the country is facing, Shukla told ETV Bharat here.
"The names of willful defaulters would be made public according to the established rules as the government has nothing to hide," he asserted, saying that the government was taking all measures to maintain the country's economy.
On being asked if coronavirus would affect the Indian economy badly, the former minister said that the Indian economy is relatively safe and would not have much effect of the disease that has infected lakhs of people and killed hundreds across the globe.
"Our is a economy based on savings. It would certainly have some effects of coronavirus but would recover soon," he said, adding that "there was nothing to worry".
