New Delhi: With Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury saying that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) - the ideological parent of ruling BJP- response would have been different if J&K cop Davinder Singh was a Muslim, senior Communist Party of India leader Atul Kumar Anjaan said that it is good to know that the party is aware of BJP's "communal politics", but blamed it for misrule between 2004-14 leading to the rise of the saffron party.
"It is a good thing if Congress is aware of BJP's communal politics. Congress' misrule has led to the present situation. BJP has flourished because of the misrule, " Anjaan told ETV Bharat.
In a series of tweets, Adhir Ranjan has said "enemies of the country" should not be spared, irrespective of their social background.
"Had Davindar Singh by default been Davindar Khan, the reaction of troll regiment of RSS would have been more strident and vociferous. Enemies of our country ought to be condemned irrespective of Colour, Creed, and Religion," the Congress leader has said.
Further taking a dig at the Congress party, Anjaan said, "please ask Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, what is Congress party (sic), the entire party is divided when it comes to a stand on Article 370, 35 A, Triple Talaq, and public sector. The fact that banking organisations are a facing crisis...the destruction began with P Chidambaram as finance minister...they should apologise to the country for their mistakes."
On BJP allegeing that the Congress and Left parties are speaking the language of Pakistan on certain issues, Anjan said this has been the party's narrative for the past several years.
"Did Sonia Gandhi, AB Vardhan, or Atul Kumar Anjan pay a visit to the wedding ceremony of Nawaz Sharif's daughter. Our Prime Minister went to attend the wedding, " said the national secretary of CPI.
