Jaipur(Rajasthan): State Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Chief Satish Poonia on Friday lashed out at the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on MLAs' poaching charge. Poonia said that 'Gehlot has become mentally unstable and says whatever comes to his mind.'
Speaking to ETV Bharat, BJP Chief said, "Gehlot is responsible for the political chaos in the state which has been going on for the past few days. He himself is accused of corruption charges and Congress leaders are out on bail, still, he gives long speeches on etiquette and ethics. No one is going to believe him."
The reaction of the BJP Chief comes after Chief Minister had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of destroying democracy and alleged that BJP is trying to topple his government.
Refuting the BJP's central leadership of engaging in sabotage activities amid the pandemic, Poonia said, "No Congress MLA is in contact with BJP. Gehlot has accused our party of horse-trading and if this is true, the opposition should prove it with concrete evidence. CM Gehlot holds a responsible position and he is speaking insignificant things."

Commenting on the internal feud in the Congress, he stated, "Everybody knows there is an internal feud in the Congress. Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and CM Gehlot are never seen together which clearly indicates rift. Attempts are made by the state Supremo to tarnish the image of Pilot in the eyes of the top brass and the image of the state is maligned."
He went on to add, "Rajendra Gehlot will get our 51 preference votes and remaining votes will go to Omkar Singh Lakhawat.
It is to be noted that Rajasthan has been witnessing a high voltage political drama ahead of Rajya Sabha polls. Congress has accused ruling party that attempts were being made to poach the party MLAs and independent legislators backing the state govt.
