New Delhi: Former opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge has expressed disappointment over the current economic situation in the country.
The veteran Congress leader referred to the slowdown situation as an 'economic disaster'.
Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Kharge said that the youth in our country is unemployed and the government should try to resolve the job crisis first.
"There are circumstances of economic recession and the country's GDP is also dwindling."
He raised questions on the role of media in addressing the economic slowdown and said that, "The media is still not affected by the plight of the common people."
Without naming anyone, he also targeted the government by saying that, "delivering speeches does not fulfil the needs of our country."
Kharge also added that the government has been shifting goalposts frequently to divert people's attention from key issues.
