A fire broke out at a warehouse in Dwarka on Tuesday morning. The fire is under control and no causalities were recorded.

New Delhi: A fire broke out at a warehouse in Bharthal village of Sector-26, Dwarka in the national capital on Tuesday.

According to a fire official, the fire is under control and no causalities were recorded.

"The cause behind the fire is not known. 13 fire tenders are on the spot. The fire is under control. No casualty has been reported," said MK Chattopadhyay, Divisional Officer, Delhi Fire Service said.

The city of Delhi has had some encounters with fire wherein property worth a huge amount and lives of a number of people has been lost.

Earlier on September 16, a fire broke out in a garbage treatment plant at Safdarjung hospital and no injury has been reported.

Among the major incidents, the biggest fire disaster Delhi has faced was the Uphaar Cinema fire tragedy that happened in 1997.

The deadly mishap killed 59 people who got trapped inside the Cinema hall. Other than this the city has several time faced other forms of fire tragedy like a short circuit, gas cylinder blasts and so on.
