Purola (Uttarakhand): Ever since the bridge over river Rupin collapsed, people of Mori Tehsil in Purola have been forced to cross the river with the help of a 'log'.
Mindful of the risks involved, people have been traversing to the other side with no alternative in place.
With ETV Bharat highlighting the plight of the people via a detailed report, the administration took prompt action and got a temporary bridge constructed across the river.
Earlier, The bridge over the Rupin river of Kheda valley connecting Mori to Livadi, Fitari, Rala, Kasla and Rekcha village was washed away. Due to this, as many as five villages had lost connection with the district headquarters.
It is to be noted, here, that after the construction of the temporary bridge normal movement of people has resumed in the area.
