Kota(Rajasthan): An elderly man died due to medical negligence at MBS Hospital after waiting for an ambulance in Kota's curfew area for about 45 minutes, alleged his family members. Family of the deceased claimed they carried 60-year-old Satish Agarwal on a cart as the ambulance failed to reach the destination on time.

Manish Agarwal, son of Satish said, "My father collapsed and fainted in the bathroom. My mother and I waited for the ambulance for about one and a half hour but it did not arrive. On receiving the information, our neighbours helped us to take my father to the hospital on a cart till Nayapur. My father was trying to speak something but we could not understand".

He went to add, "When we reached Nayapur, an ambulance was arranged by my relative Himanshu and we reached MBS Hospital. But the doctors declared my father dead".

Accusing the hospital of carelessness, Himanshu said, "When we reached the hospital, doctors took us to two different rooms but did not start the treatment. After a while, Satish was sent to OPD for electrocardiogram(ECG) after which the doctors declared him dead.

"Later, the corpse was sent to another hospital of Medical College for corona testing whose results are awaited", the relative added.
