''Eklavya'' a massive open online course for students

These online courses will be beneficial for the students who are pursuing their studies through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system at the school level, the students will be able to access to millions of learning resources that are focused in academic courses and development of their skills in various vocations.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Education has promoted “Eklavya” An Initiative of The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) towards Massive Open Online courses for the students of Secondary and Sr. Secondary yesterday ie., on October 25th 2020 on his Twitter page. with the concept o

The National Open School (NOS) now known as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established in the year November 1989 as an autonomous organization in the implementation of National Education Policy on 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD), Government of India.

The Eklavya will be providing Vocational courses on community-oriented and Life Enrichment courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. Eklavya also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programs (OBE).

The Government of India through a gazette notification has laid the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with the authority to examine and certify learners registered with it up to pre-degree level courses.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) initiated Eklavya a Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) specifically for the students at Secondary and Senior. Secondary levels, with the concept of “Learning any time, Learning anywhere”.

These online courses will be beneficial for the students who are pursuing their studies through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system at the school level, the students will be able to access to millions of learning resources that are focused in academic courses and development of their skills in various vocations.
