Anekal: A series of accidents took place in the outskirts of Bangalore near the Attibele toll committed by a negligent drunken lorry driver.
The lorry hit a car from behind with force and as a result, seven cars standing in front of Attibele toll booth collided with each other. They were heading towards Bengaluru from Tamilnadu.
Two persons were seriously injured in the accident and were immediately taken to a nearby private hospital. The accident caused a traffic jam at Attibele toll booth for a while as passengers and drivers were stuck in a rut.
The Attibele Police arrived on the spot and cleared traffic at the toll road allowing motorists to drive smoothly. Police have arrested a lorry driver in connection with the incident.
