Mysuru(Karnataka): Dr Bhramaramba is first women priest in the country who performs marriages and other religious rituals through Vaidika Dharma Shastra.
Dr P. Bhramaramba who resides at cultural town Mysuru has been performing the rituals of marriages, engagement, home-Havana across the country through Vaidika dharma Shastra for 30 years. She has also attained fame for performing rituals through Vaidika Dharma Shastra.
Born in 1957, Bhramaramba took Vaidika dharma Shastra as a profession after her Engineer husband lost a job in Jawa Motorcycle Company. Before taking up the profession Bhramaramba did petty works to earn her livelihood.

After studying dharma Shastra, Agama Shastra, Upanishads, Veda- Yajna and other religious rituals, she pursued a profession in it. Initially she faced a lot of opposition from the society, but she did not give up.
Bhramaramba performed Yaga-Yajna, Veda at various parts of the country including Mumbai, Banaras, Belagavi, Dharawad, Hubballi and Kalaburagi. Besides she delivers music lessons to students.
Bhramaramba obtained a doctorate degree in Vaidika Shastra. Received Kitturu Rani Chennamma Yoga Shastra award and women priest award from various organizations.
