New Delhi: BJP leader Satish Chandra Dubey, who had to give up Valmiki Nagar constituency in Bihar for his party's coalition partner JD(U) for the Lok Sabha election of 2019, has said he would continue to work for development of the region even if he is not representing it in Parliament anymore.
"My party had assured me that I would either be sent to Rajya Sabha or made MLC. By ensuring a Rajya Sabha seat for me, the party has fulfilled its promise," he told ETV Bharat here.
On being asked about his priorities on becoming a Rajya Sabha member, the BJP leader from Bihar said he would continue to work for development and the BJP.
"While being an MP from Valmiki Nagar constituency, I had started some developmental work there, that would be completed with the help of my JD(U) friend," he said, adding that they both would work to develop the region.
He also expressed gratitude towards the BJP, saying he would always work keeping in mind the party line.
