Bengaluru: Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda has donated Rs 1 lakh each to the relief funds of the Prime Minister, and Karnataka and Kerala Chief Ministers, a party official said on Saturday.

"Out of the pension Gowda receives, he has contributed Rs 1 lakh each to the PM-CARES Fund, Karnataka CM Relief Fund and Kerala CM's Distress Relief Fund," said the official in a statement here.

The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM- Cares Fund) was set up on March 28 as a dedicated national fund to deal with an emergency or distress situation like Covid-19 pandemic and provide relief to the affected.
