New Delhi: The Delimitation Commission assigned with redrawing parliamentary and assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, had its second meeting on Thursday to review the progress of work.
The first meeting which was slightly delayed due to ongoing lockdown was conducted on April 29 this year.

In the review meeting, the Election Commission took update over the data collections regarding the nomination of Associate Members as required under the Delimitation Act 2002 from the Lok Sabha.
Besides, the nomination of Associate Members from the Legislative Assembly of Assam and Manipur has been received by the Election Commission.
The Election Commission has received the Requisite Census data from the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has directed to pursue the concerned State Governments for further information in this regard.
It also asked to seek other necessary data/map from the respective CEOs within the time frame.
