New Delhi: Customs Department officials arrested a Venezuelan national with drugs at Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, Delhi police detained the accused when he landed at the airport and searched his baggage. During the investigation, it was found that he had consumed drugs by putting it inside capsules.
After the court's order, the passenger was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and more than 80 capsules filled with drugs were seized from his possession.
The quantity of the drugs seized has turned out to be over 880 grams of worth Rs 88 lakh.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), 1985.
