Subhash Chopra, DPCC Chief
"90 per cent of names have been finalized. The final list will be released tomorrow. Another CEC meeting will be held to discuss rest of the names in which adjustments need to be done," said Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, Subhash Chopra.

He also informed that Rashtriya Janta Dal has demanded 10 seats from Congress for the Delhi Assembly polls but the number of seats which will be given to them, is yet to be decided. As per the reports, out of 70 seats in Delhi Assembly, Congress has agreed to leave 4 seats to its Bihar Ally, including Uttam Nagar, Burari, Karawal Nagar and Palam.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi is keen to field senior party leaders in the Assembly polls. However, the tussle is going on over the seat of Chandni Chowk in which party wants to contest Alka Lamba but senior party leader JP Aggarwal is claiming it as 'my seat'.

Soon after the CEC meet got ended, a number of protestors came forward, raising slogans against Surender Kumar. The protestors were claiming that party has given a ticket to Surender Kumar from Bawana for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

"He has already lost 3 times, still the party wants to give him a ticket in the upcoming elections. Why is he been given so much preference? Which senior leader is behind his back?" asked one of the protesters.
