New Delhi: Atleast 89 people were quarantined in Delhi after a pizza delivery boy tested positive for Covid-19 which including houses of 72 people where he made delivery.
South Delhi's Additional District Officer (ADM) Arun Gupta said,"After the delivery boy was tested positive, seventeen people including the owner of the shop and other delivery boys, have been put under institutional quarantine. The shop has been shut. Last week, the boy was tested positive in Safdargunj Hospital after he showed mild symptoms of the infection".
ADM went on to add," All the 72 houses have been sealed where the delivery was made. All these houses are within a 5-km radius of Malviya Nagar.

Migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh, the delivery boy tested positive even after using mask and a pair of gloves. He was undergoing treatment in Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital and the contact source is yet to be traced.
Delhi has recorded 1,578 total Covid-19 positive cases and claimed 32 deaths till date.
