Bhubaneshwar: According to unofficial sources, the death toll due to Cyclone Fani in Odisha has mounted to 13.
Maximum deaths have been reported from Baripada and Jajpur, where four people lost their lives from each of these districts.
Other deaths include two people from Kendrapara and one person from Balasore, Puri and Nayagarh each.
However, Special Relief Commissioner has not yet officially confirmed the overall loss of lives.
'Fani' has caused major destruction in Odisha. More than 20,000 trees were uprooted and 10,000 electric poles were damaged in Bhubaneswar. Major infrastructures have also collapsed in the State capital.
Restoration of power services have been initiated and districts like Cuttack, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj and Khurda may get power by tonight.
