Budgam (Jammu and Kashmir): A CRPF jawan was killed and his service rifle was reportedly taken away by militants during an attack in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
Militants shot at and injured the CRPF jawan, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) GD Badule of 117 battalion at Kaisermulla in Budgam district, a police official said.
The jawan was taken to hospital where doctors declared him bought dead.
Sources said the militants also decamped with the jawan's service weapon, an AK assault rifle.
Officials said the area has been cordoned off and a manhunt has been launched to nab the militants.
