Basti(Uttar Pradesh): In the wake of spurt in cases of coronavirus across the country, Health Ministry has kept a couple, who recently travelled from Mumbai, in isolation ward after observing the symptoms of coronavirus. Couple hailing from Parasrampur area has been kept in the isolation ward of Kaili Medical Hospital and their blood samples have been sent to Lucknow. Instructions have been given to keep the couple in isolation ward till the report of their sample arrives.
When being asked about the condition of the patients, Dr Himanshu Chaudhary said, "Both of them are suffering from dry cough, throat pain and fever. We are continuously monitoring their situation. If any patient has a travel history, we keep a track of the same. And if anyone has mild symptoms, we admit them in an isolation ward. Right now, we have kept the couple in the isolation ward and the case will be cleared only when the report comes".
Giving precautionary measures to the public, Chaudhary went on to add, "If masks are not available, people can use a clean cloth. People should avoid mass gatherings and go to public places. People should avoid contact with those who are infected with the virus or having travel history".

"Washing hands two or three times a day can be really effective and the process should be followed before eating meals too. One should avoid wiping hands with any cloth after washing them and should keep them dry", said the doctor.
Uttar Pradesh has confirmed 19 positive cases of coronavirus and the state is battling against the coronavirus pandemic by taking various preventive measures. With the outbreak of the virus, the Health Ministry is regularly monitoring the situation in all the states and all the suspected patients are kept in the isolation ward.
In view of Covid-19, Prime Minister has urged the citizens to abide by the guidelines of 'Janta Curfew on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm and to stay indoors. The cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly across the world with the count crossing 245,749 globally and 195 in India. The global death toll rose to 10,048 on Friday, with India reporting four deaths due to Covid-19.
