Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu): With masks becoming a must for stepping out of the house amid the coronavirus outbreak, people now seek to experiment with them, and the textile industry in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur is catering to this very demand by producing masks bearing images of actors.
The textile industry, which had taken a beating due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, is now faring better due to the surge in demand of such masks.
From superstar Rajinikanth to Kamal Hassan, these masks bear images of almost all the popular Tamil actors.

These textile units are also taking orders from customers who seek to customise their masks.
The masks are made of knitted, double-layered cotton fabric that is bio-washed, so the products can be reused.
