Hyderabad: In the last 24 hours, India recorded 67,151 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 1,059 deaths. This takes the country’s tally to 32,34,474 Covid-19 cases, including 7,07,267 patients who are under treatment, 24,67,758 who have recovered and 59,449 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said. The recovery rate rose to 76.30 per cent with 63,173 more people having recuperated, while the case fatality rate has declined to 1.84 per cent.
Delhi
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today held a review meeting as the national capital witnessed a surge in Covid-19 cases. He further added that his govt will double the number of coronavirus tests.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal said, "There has been an increase in Covid-19 cases in the past few days. However, the recovery rate is more than 90% in the national capital," said Kejriwal.
West Bengal
Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday announced a series of relaxations by allowing to resume flights operations from six COVID hotspot states, but extended the closure of educational institutes till September 20. Announcing complete Lockdown across West Bengal on September 7, 11 and 12, Banerjee said Metro Railway can resume services by observing social distancing and other precautionary norms.

Guwahati: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi tests positive for COVID19. He asks people, who came in contact with him during the last few days, to immediately get themselves tested for Coronavirus.
Karnataka
Bengaluru: Mysuru Police Commissioner Chandragupta has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, a week after a Superintendent of Police contracted the disease. Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar has gone into isolation as well after one of his staff in the DC Office tested positive.
Telangana
Hyderabad: Additional Superintendent of Police of Jagtial district, K Dakshina Murthy died of a heart attack at 5.30 am, a week after he contracted Covid-19. The 58-year-old had been admitted to a private hospital Karimnagar, where he was being treated for Covid-19. He was set to retire at the end of this month.

Chandigarh: Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday said twenty-three ministers and MLAs were coronavirus positive two days before the Vidhan Sabha session on August 28.
Odisha
Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar: As many as 52 Corona Warriors of Odisha Police have donated their plasma for treatment of critical COVID-19 patients so far. The Odisha DGP took to Twitter and said that the state police department celebrates this half-century in Plasma donation with humility and dedication. Odisha achieved record recoveries for the fourth day in a row as another 3343 COVID-19 patients were discharged on Wednesday, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department.
