According to Health Ministry:
- No community transmission in the country yet, no need to panic; But remain aware and alert.
- Yesterday, we conducted 16002 tests. Only 0.2% cases tested positive. On the basis of the samples collected, the infection rate is not high; Rapid diagnostics kits have also been sanctioned.
- A lot of requests on Hydroxychloroquine were already there. Several countries have made requests for this particular item and taking into view the domestic necessities and keeping a sufficient buffer for our own requirement.
- Today, the challenge is not local or community transmission but if we are taking all the precautionary and containment measures.
- Health workers are on the frontline in the battle against COVID19 & any type of misbehaviour with them is harmful to us. Incidents of misbehaviour with them negatively affects their morale.

New Delhi: With an increase of 547 new COVID-19 cases in the last 12 hours, India's total number of coronavirus positive cases rose to 6,412 on Friday.
Out of the total cases, 5,709 are active patients and 504 of them have been cured/discharged and migrated, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With 30 new deaths reported in the last 12 hours, the death toll stands at 199.
According to the ministry, Maharashtra is the worst-hit state after recording 1,364 positive cases. Tamil Nadu comes second with 834 cases.
The total number of cases reported in Delhi so far is 720.
