Jharkhand Health Secy: A man from Hazaribagh has tested positive for Coronavirus. He was working in Asansol, West Bengal and had returned recently. He has been put in quarantine. 

Total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state is 2.

 8 cases from Kasargod, 5 from Idukki, 2 from Kollam, 1 each from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur. The total number of patients under treatment is 256. Total number of cases  in Kerala rises to 286. 

1,65,934 people are under observation.

Nirmal Singh had tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.

 15 associated with Tablighi event in Odisha test negative

The Odisha government has traced and tested 20 persons associated with the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi, but reports of 15 of them have come negative for coronavirus, an official statement said on Wednesday.

Of these 15 people, 12 are from Rourkela, each one from Kendrapara, Cuttack and Ganjam district, it said, adding that the remaining five reports are awaited.

3 more coronavirus cases in Maha; total reaches 338

Three more people tested positive for coronavirus in Maharashtra on Thursday, taking the total number of such cases in the state to 338, a health official said.

Out of these three people, two are from Pune and one is from Buldhana, he said.

Till Wednesday, 335 COVID-19 cases and 16 deaths were reported from the state.

Mumbai has so far recorded deaths of 12 coronavirus patients.

The state capital also has the highest number of coronavirus patients at 181, while Pune district has 50 cases.

Rajasthan Health Department: 9 more COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan (7 from Ramganj, and 1 each from Jodhpur & Jhunjhunu) taking the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state to 129. All 7 new COVID-19 positive cases from Ramganj are close contacts of a person who had tested positive earlier, this person has infected 17 of his close contacts. The person to test coronavirus positive in Jhunjhunu is from Tablighi Jamaat.

COVID-19: India reports 1,834 cases, 41 deaths

New Delhi: The total number of coronavirus positive cases in India reached 1,834 on Wednesday, including foreign nationals, with 1,649 active cases, the Union Health Ministry said.

The Health Ministry, in its the evening update that 41 deaths have been reported in India so far, with highest nine from Maharashtra, followed by Gujarat, where six deaths were reported.

"A total of 143 patients have been cured and discharged," it said.

Among the 27 states and Union Territories having Coronavirus patients, Maharashtra has the highest tally of positive cases at 302, followed by Kerala at 241

India has been under a 21-day lockdown in a bid to prevent spread of coronavirus.
