COVID-19 India tracker: State-wise report

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported so far in the country stands at 56,342 including 16,539 people who have been cured of the disease and discharged and 1,886 people who died, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Hyderabad: The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in India reached 56,342 on Friday, the Union Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Ministry website, as on May 8th at 08:00 am, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 56,342 with 1,886 deaths. Maharashtra reported the most number of cases at 17,974 followed by Gujarat that reported 7,012 cases.
