A Delhi court will hear bail plea of AAP leader Tahir Hussain in connection with three cases regarding Delhi violence.

New Delhi: The Karkardooma Court on Monday will hear the bail applications of suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor Tahir Hussain filed in three cases lodged in connection with the Delhi riots.

During the last hearing, Delhi Police said public prosecutor Manoj Chaudhary will advocate all cases of violence near Chandbagh Pulia. Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Yadav will hear all three bail pleas.

On September 26, Manoj Chaudhary appeared on behalf of Delhi Police in all three cases and demanded that the trial be deferred.

The FIRs on which the court will hear the bail petition is all from Dayalpur police station. One case is of FIR number 120 which was registered under sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 436 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

The second is FIR No. 117 lodged which has charges under sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 436 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

The third case is also of Dayalpur police station. The third is FIR number 80 under which the case has registered under sections 147, 148,149,427,436 and 120B of Indian Penal Code besides sections 3 and 4 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

A total of 15 people including Tahir Hussain have been accused in the charge sheet and Tahir Hussain is described as the mastermind.

In this charge sheet of about one thousand pages, 15 people have been accused, including Shah Alam, brother of Councilor Tahir Hussain.

Delhi’s ruling AAP had then suspended Tahir Hussain for his alleged involvement in the violence which has left at least 42 people dead and around 200 injured.
