Additional Police Commissioner Ashok Gupta told ETV Bharat correspondent that the initiative is a good one. Further adding that all vehicles which cross the tunnel will be completely sanitized within 5 seconds.

Police mitra Ajay Dhariwal said that it took them three days to create the tunnel and further said that the team used to work till 2 am at night in order to complete the tunnel within less time.

The complete lockdown also posed serious issues as the team was not able to acquire the required materials on time. The tunnel cost approximately Rs 20000.

Police Mitra Abdul Hameed, Rangrez, Zakir Hussain, Kamruddin Lohar, Shakeel Painter and Suresh Kumawat have created this sanitizing machine through their tireless efforts. A distinct feature of the tunnel is the sanitiser being used is homoeopathic and it will not have any negative effect on the body of those who get sanitised through the tunnel.
