Gariaband (Chhattisgarh): There is a persistent silence all over the country, due to the ongoing lockdown to flatten the curve of coronavirus. Several ceremonies and celebrations have also been postponed.
On the same lines, the marriage ceremony of the District Headquarters SDOP Sanjay Dhruv which was supposed to take place in Durg on Friday has been put on halt.
Amid the lockdown, both the families by mutual agreement in a meeting decided to postpone the wedding as the gathering during the ceremony may prove disastrous.
SDOP Sanjay Dhruv, who stays at Champaran, has been serving in Gariaband district for the last 3 years.
His wedding was to be held in Durg and both the families had completed preparations for the same. Invitation Cards had also been distributed. The SDOP was already on leave sanctioned by the Higher Authorities, for his marriage.
Meanwhile, after the outbreak of coronavirus, the government announced a lock-down, after which the family members of both the bride and the groom sought each other's opinion over a conference call and finally decided to postpone the wedding until the threat of the coronavirus gets over.
The most special thing in this whole incident is that, the SDOP Sanjay Dhruv has no regret whatsoever, for the postponement of his marriage.
He says that "at this time, Gariaband needs me, and I am more satisfied in doing my duty."
He further said that immediately after the wedding got postponed, he cancelled his leave and on Friday, when he was supposed to get married, he was doing his duty.
He said that "at present, my attention has to be my duty, although my family members are sad due to the developments, my focus as of now is only on my work".
