"I am disappointed, but I bow down to the decision taken by the people of Delhi. We will introspect our defeat. The polarisation of votes has a lot to do with it. I take full responsibility for the loss, " Subhash Chopra told ETV Bharat.

The senior Congress leader added, "there was a time when BJP had only two seats in the Parliament and now it has about 303 seats."

On Congress lacking in putting up a tough fight, Chopra said, "we have tried our best. I don't understand where we were lacking. Since the day I took charge as the DPCC president I have been on the streets. There has to be a reason that people didn't show their love towards us."

"We know how to put up a fight, and we will earn back the love and support of the people of Delhi. We will support the government in working towards the development of Delhi but will take to the streets if need be, " added the Congress leader.
