Speaking to ETV Bharat, Ravneet Singh Bittu said, earlier Priyanka intended not to render a political angle to the farmers' protest. As the farmers are dying at the borders, the limit has crossed. Therefore, Congress has decided to chalk out a strong strategy under the leadership of Priyanka and Rahul, to fight against these laws, he added.

He added that he is confident of disrupting the Central Government once the Congress gets down to streets.BJP Government would have to bow down as we strengthen our voice, he added.

"Priyanka expressed solidarity with the protesting farmers and told us that we are fighting for the rights of farmers," said Jasbir Singh Gill. He added that Congress has extended full support to the farmers.

Congress leaders had a discussion just ahead of the eighth round of talks between farmers' unions and representative of government over the three controversial farm laws. However, the Government has said it will consider making changes in laws but did not agree to repeal the laws.

In case, if the meeting between farmer unions and the Central Government does not end up in a consensus, then the Congress would plan a broad strategy to fight against these laws, said Gurjit Singh Aujla. "We are continuously demanding the Government to call Parliament Session. Until a session is called, how can this Government take back the laws?" he asked.
