New Delhi: Congress worker Jagdish Sharma on Thursday demanded re-elections, saying the BJP cannot be defeated in the polls as long as they are held using EVMs.
Speaking to ETV Bharat here, Sharma said the just concluded elections should be declared null and void and fresh polls must be held using the old system of ballot papers.
He, however, said it won't be possible "because of Modi and his dictatorial rule".
"Nobody can defeat Modi as long as EVMs are being used for elections in the country," he added.
The Congress worker said results of the elections were not diappointing for the Congress alone but it was a setback for the entire nation.
"Not only the Congress but the whole country lost the elections today. Now it's only to be seen what the Modi government does in the next five years," Sharma added.
