New Delhi: Hours after Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid expressed his concerns regarding the party's future, another party personage echoed similar views on Wednesday.
Speaking to media during a visit to Chambal district, Jyotiraditya Scindia claimed that Congress needs to do self-introspection and it is important to assess the situation to take the party ahead.
When asked to comment on Salman Khurshid's statement, Scindia said, "I would not like to react on someone else's comment, but yes, there is no doubt that Congress needs to do self-introspection."
"It is important to assess the situation in Congress to take the party ahead," Jyotiraditya Scindia said, adding that the party is not in a good shape.
Earlier in the day, Senior Congress Salman Khurshid had said he was pained at the current situation of the party but expressed hope that it will bounce back.
The former union minister also asserted that he has a deep attachment to the party and called for an analysis of why the footprint of the party has shrunk.
