New Delhi: Expressing concern over the situation in Bihar due to the rising coronavirus infections and the floods, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh urged Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to visit the state.
In a letter to the Union Minister, the Congress MP described how the state is suffering because of ever-rising Covid-19 infections and the on-going floods that have ruined everything in most parts.
He said the state government has failed to deliver on all counts, and that Vardhan should visit the state, evaluate the situation and help the affected people.
"Bihar is in trouble as there are no arrangements for the migrant workers who have returned from other parts of the country. Similarly, coronavirus and other diseases in the wake of floods are causing problems," he said, urging him to intervene to help the worst affected people of the state.
Bihar is experiencing floods as most of the rivers in the state are overflowing because of monsoon rains in various parts of the country.
