New Delhi: Former Telecom minister Pandit Sukhram Sharma along with his grandson Ashray Sharma joined the Congress party on Monday.
Addressing a press meet, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala hit out at BJP while introducing the former minister saying that the Congress holds regards for senior leaders, unlike the BJP.
Surjewala's comment comes in the wake of BJP asking its veteran leader LK Advani to not contest in the upcoming general elections.
Advani was replaced by Amit Shah to contest for Gujarat's Gandhinagar seat.
Advani, the founding member of BJP and Shanta Kumar another veteran leader of the saffron party were denied tickets for 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
