New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday once again slammed the Narendra Modi-led government over the military standoff with China and said that the Prime Minister has "vanished" from the scene.
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, "The Chinese have walked in and taken our territory in Ladakh. Meanwhile, the PM is absolutely silent and has vanished from the scene."
This is not the first time that the former Congress chief has questioned the Centre over the border situation in eastern Ladakh.
Earlier yesterday, Gandhi asked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to comment if Chinese troops had occupied Indian territory in Ladakh. "Once RM is done commenting on the hand symbol, can he answer: Have the Chinese occupied Indian territory in Ladakh?" the Congress leader tweeted, referring to minister's designation in Hindi, Raksha Mantri.
Prior to this, Gandhi had slammed the Central government on June 3, May 29, and also during his press conference in the last week of May.

Meanwhile, the two sides will reportedly hold Major-General level talks as well as dialogue between their field commanders today.
The India-China border dispute covers the 3,488-km-long LAC. China claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of southern Tibet while India contests it.
Both sides have been asserting that pending the final resolution of the boundary issue, it is necessary to maintain peace and tranquillity in the border areas.
