Chennai: Rajinikanth likely to announce date of his party launch today

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is likely to announce the date of his party launch today after a meeting in Chennai. Party sources said that there is speculation that actor turned politician may give an April date and will conduct a public rally in August.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth will be conducting a meeting and a press meet today at 10.30 AM in Private hotel Leela Palace in Chennai, after which he is likely to announce the date of the launch of his party, sources said.

There are chances that Rajinikanth may announce an April date and will hold a public rally in August.

For the past few months, Rajinikanth's involvement in politics is getting stronger and stronger. People are deeply observing him regarding when he will launch his party. After 1996, Rajinikanth involvement in politics is getting stronger.

On March 5, the actor-turned-politician conducted a meeting with district secretaries of the Rajini Makkal Mandram in Chennai to discuss the launch of his party. The Tamil superstar had said he was disappointed over a particular issue that was discussed during the meeting but refused to divulge details about the same.

Rajinikanth reportedly told the district secretaries that he did not want to be the chief ministerial candidate, but would lead the party. But the district secretaries insisted him be the CM candidate.
