Thiruvananthapuram (Kerela): Aleida Guevara, daughter of legendary Cuban revolutionary Che-Guevara, on Monday called on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his official residence in Thiruvananthapuram.
Aleida arrived in Kerala on Sunday.
Her father, Che Guevara, is revered among the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist cadres, especially its youth and student organisations.
Later in the day Aleida is scheduled to visit the state party headquarters and meet a string of CPI-M state minister's.
Aleida, a doctor by profession, will be attending a couple of programmes in the state as the chief guest, including one that is scheduled to be held on August 1 in Kannur - the bastion of CPI-M, followed by a visit to Kochi.

Her visit to India has come in the backdrop of Cuba celebrating 60 years of revolution in the country.
Che was assassinated when she was just six years old.
