'Centre is keeping close watch in Jammu and Kashmir'

New Delhi: The Narendra Modi Government is keeping a close watch over all developments in Jammu and Kasmir post abrogation of Article 370 that provided special status to the region.

National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval is constantly monitoring the situation there, official sources told the ETV Bharat.

They said Doval would discuss everything related to law and order and overall security situation with the officials. According to the sources, he is understood to have discussed the reported attempts made by Pakistani terrorists to sneak into India.

Doval's three key men, including Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Adviser to Governor K Vijay Kumar and DGP Dilbag Singh, gave him the ground report, they added.Doval, they said, asked them to ensure round-the-clock patrolling and maintain close vigil in the sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir.These officials have been implementing government orders there ever since Article 370 was abrogated.Subrahmanyam works closely with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Intro:New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday had a telephonic discussion with three of his key men over the present law and order situation prevailing in the J&K.


Body:Government sources told ETV Bharat that during the discussion Doval also took stock over the reported attempts made by Pakistani terrorist to sneak into India.

Doval's three key men including Chief Secretary BVR Subhramanyam, Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar and DGP Dilbag Singh gave the ground report over phone.

Doval, sources said, has suggested the three officials to keep round the clock patrolling and close vigil along the sensitive areas of J&K.

Subhramanyam, Vijay Kumar and Singh have been implementing the decisions of the decisions of the top government functionaries ever since abrogation of Article 370 took place in J&K.


Conclusion:Sources said that Subhramanyam has been given the responsibility of coordiation with Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Vijay Kumar is coordinating between paramiliyary forces and state police whereas Dilbag Singh has been asked to keep the moral of his police forces high.
