New Delhi: Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Wednesday held a meeting with State Chief Secretaries and DGPs over the implementation of extended lockdown measures.
Official sources said that Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba discussed the smooth and effective implementation of revised guidelines that was issued on Wednesday morning, through video conferencing.

Extension of lockdown till May 3 was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
The extended lockdown also said that some selected necessary activities will be allowed from April 20, on the condition of strict adherence to maintaining social distancing.
Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra, Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Health Secretary Preeti Sudan were also present in the meeting.

The objective of the revised guidelines is to consolidate the gain during the first stage of lockdown and further slow down the speed of COVID-19 and at the same time provide relief to farmers, labourers and daily wage earners.
Officials said that all district collectors, SPs, municipal commissioners and civil surgeons took part in the meeting.
