Budgam: Last rites of CRPF Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Naresh Umrao Badole, was performed on Friday in Nagpur. He lost his life in a terrorist attack in Budgam of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Yesterday, an encounter between security forces and terrorist broke out in Budgam district in which ASI Naresh Umrao Badole sustained severe injuries.
The body of ASI Naresh Badole reached his hometown in Nagpur today. Badole, from 117B battalion of the CRPF, was martyred on Thursday when terrorists shot him in Chadoora district of Budgam, Kashmir.
DG, CRPF, Anand Prakash Maheshwari and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh were among those who paid their homage. Wreath laying ceremony of the soldier was performed in Srinagar. CRPF DG AP Maheshwari expressed grief at the trooper's sacrifice and praised him for his valour and sacrifice.

The funeral was performed with full state honours at 8 am on Friday, at Digdoh ghat near CRPF camp in Hingna, informed Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer. He is survived by his wife Pramila, daughters Mrunal and Pradnya.
One terrorist was also killed in the gunfight. Army and CRPF had launched a cordon-and-search-operation after receiving certain intelligence inputs. When the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off a gunfight.
