New Delhi: Expressing confidence over winning the upcoming state assembly elections in Bihar and West Bengal, the BJP on Thursday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah's proposed online rallies on June 7 and 8 would have a huge impact over the voters and the party would win polls in both the states.

In a video message here, party spokesman Vijay Sonkar Shastri said the rallies by the Union Home Minister would be "decisive" as far as elections in these two states are concerned.

"The two virtual rallies to be addressed by the Union Home Minister would prove highly beneficial for the party and it will form government in both the states," he said.

Speaking about West Bengal, the BJP leader stressed that the BJP would certainly defeat the TMC there and form the next government.

"We will form the next government in West Bengal by removing the Mamata Banerjee government. It's a prestige fight for BJP" he emphasized, adding that people want to get rid of the TMC there. "We will form government in Bihar as well," he said.

BJP is already in power in Bihar and running the current state government in alliance with the JD(U) there.

In Bihar, polls are due in October 2020, whereas the TMC government's term in West Bengal ends next year.
