New Delhi: BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain has hit back at author Arundhati Roy over her remarks that the Indian Muslims are not safe in India on Sunday.

On Saturday, Magsaysay Award winner, Arundhati Roy has clearly stated in an interview to a German channel that the Modi government at the centre is taking similar steps as the Nazis had taken against the Jewish people.

Arundhati Roy has directly stated that the Modi government is against Muslims and he is adopting a dictatorial attitude towards them and has started sending them to the detention centre.

Though Roy has always been at the forefront of making critical comments on the ideology of the RSS and the BJP, this time her comment has created a furore in such a gloomy situation when the country is struggling with the pandemic.

Slamming the Booker Prize-winning author, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said,"Such statement of Arundhati Roy is not only just condemnable but also she should apologize to the country. Such a statement is an attack on Hindu Muslim unity. The Prime Minister of the country is constantly taking corrective steps to relieve people in the crisis of Corona through their efforts and in such a situation, she is telling such things to a foreign channel for her country. It is a matter of extreme condemnation."

"I can say with the claim that the Muslims of India are the safest and as a Muslim of India, I claim that the Muslim feels the most secure in India itself. Hence Arundhati Roy Should take back such kind of comments," Hussain said.
