In this meeting, Nadda discussed the electoral strategy and also how to strengthen the campaigns such as outreach programmes to address concerns over the recently passed farm laws.

He also announced that BJP will launch a campaign in support of farm and labour reform laws, on which the Congress and other opposition parties have been holding protests.

After BJP president J P Nadda chaired the meeting, party's general secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam told reporters that farmers across the country, except a few states, are in support of these measures and the protests in states like Punjab are politically “motivated”.

Speaking to media persons, Gautam said, "Today a meeting of newly-appointed national office-bearers of the party was called, in which many visions of the government were discussed. Instructions were given how to popularise 'Kisan Jagran Abhiyan' and also suggested to tell the people how the Congress is doing fealty politics on it like CAA and NRC."

"Concern was expressed at the meeting over the crimes against women. Any crime; rape, murder, is committed against a daughter whether Dalit or poor is abhorrent irrespective of which government is there," Gautam said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic also came in for praise, he said, adding that the government has worked to minimise the harm caused by the virus.

Reportedly, Nadda has announced his new team, while 37 out of 70 are new faces who have not experienced in the party's organizational work yet.
