New Delhi: Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday performed 'hawan' at Sai temple at Patparganj here, in a hope that Narendra Modi will once again become the Prime Minister in 2019 and cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir become an MLA from East Delhi.
During the hawan ceremony, the MLAs who left the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and joined the BJP including MLA Anil Vajpayee, former MLA from Kodli, Amrish Gautam and Parshad Tejpal were present.
Exuding confidence, MLA Anil Vajpayee said that AAP will lose badly in the Lok Sabha election and the BJP would win all the seats in Delhi.
Seven Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi went to polls on 12th May, 2019. The results will be announced on May 23.
