New Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey representing the Godda constituency in Jharkhand on Monday slammed Bollywood industry for rearing nepotism which he said compelled the versatile actor, Sushant Singh Rajput to cut short his life.
He further explained that whenever people from Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh decide to pursue a career in Bollywood, they are unreservedly discouraged and forced to take extreme steps. A far-reaching syndicate has taken over the Hindi film industry, nepotism dominates, further a parallel narrative comes to foreplay every time an unfortunate incident like this happens, he added.

"I was numb after I got to know about the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. People from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh are ignored and tortured in Hindi film industry. Despite their excellency, they are forced to take extreme steps. The recent example of this is Sushant's death. Nepotism and partiality killed the dynamic, multi-skilled actor," the BJP leader stated.
The Member of Parliament urged Maharashtra Police to register an FIR against the producers who had boycott the films of Sushant Singh Rajput besides the other producers who had removed him from the films. "A case of abetment to suicide should be registered. All the artists of Purvanchal should unite and join this fight, this is the need of the hour," he exclaimed.
