New Delhi: BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said that the Congress party has betrayed the country by deciding to be a part of Gupkar alliance.
"The Congress party has joined an alliance which aims to divide the country by trying to bring in Article 370 again. It's a shame for the Congress and its leaders," he said.
Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi, Tiwari further said that people of the country has seen the 'true colour' of the Congress leader.
Notably, the BJP has been targeting the Congress in its bid to corner the opposition party ever since the latter decided to join the Gupkar alliance to contest local body polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed political parties in Kashmir that have come together under the umbrella of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).
In a series of tweets, Shah said the Gupkar alliance, a coalition of political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, is a “global gathbandhan against national interest.”
He also said that by supporting the restoration of Article 370 in the Union Territory, they want to take away the rights of Dalits, women and tribals.
