Pabitra Das, BJP's East Midnapore district secretary who was injured during an alleged attack on villagers in his area has blamed TMC of carrying out the attack.

East Midnapore (West Bengal): BJP's East Midnapore district secretary Pabitra Das suffered bullet injuries on Sunday during an alleged attack on villagers in his area.

Earlier, BJP in the area had protested as the compensation money was allegedly given to the TMC party people ignoring the actual victims of Amphan cyclone. He was later taken to Tamluk Hospital.

Das alleged, "At the behest of TMC MLA of Khejuri constituency and TMC Block president some armed goons attacked our village."

Das has further alleged that TMC goons attacked his house at night. Three female members of the family were also beaten up who were later admitted to Tamluk hospital also.

BJP further alleged that TMC members fired in the air following which Das was injured.

BJP national secretary Rahul Sinha said, "There is nexus between police and TMC goons, I demand investigation and action against accused TMC goons and police officers."

"Despite our repeated reports, the police did not take any action. So far no response has been received from the police administration," he said.
