BJP leader ditches COVID rules and regulations, holds grand marriage ceremony of his son

BJP leader Dayananda Vantamuri of Karnataka's Bastawad village decided to forgo any and all COVID-19 restrictions and celebrated the wedding of his son in a grand fashion with hundreds of people participating in the wedding procession. The people violated the COVID rules and regulations set up in the state.

Chikkodi (Karnataka): The government has been taking several actions to prevent corona spread across the state. However, a BJP leader in Chikkodi decided to forgo all the safety measures and celebrated his son's marriage in a grand fashion with hundreds of people participating in the wedding procession.

BJP leader Dayananda Vantamuri of Bastawad village of Hukeri taluk in Belgaum district gathered hundreds of people at the Kalyana Mandapam in the premises of Kadasiddeshwar Temple. People from the border villages of Maharashtra were also invited to this marriage. The bride and groom also undertook a grand procession in the evening.

However, no action was taken by the Taluk administration, police, or local panchayat authorities to control the participation of people. Local people are outraged over the irresponsibility of the officials.

As the news has spread everywhere in the state, the police have taken note of the incident and registered a complaint about this on Tuesday.
