Mumbai: The BJP has launched a state-wide 'Maharashtra Bachao Andolan' to hit the state government over the corona crisis. Through this agitation, the BJP, like the Central government, demanded that the state government should announce a package of Rs 50,000 crore for the workers in the state.
Activists and supporters protested by putting up black ribbons and placards calling on the government from their homes. Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis joined the agitation at the BJP state office in Mumbai and state president Chandrakant Patil at Kolhapur. Former minister Vinod Tawde accompanied Fadnavis.
According to the protestors, the fight against the corona is not being taken seriously by the government resulting which the common man is affected. They also added that there was mismanagement at all levels in this battle. For this, the Bharatiya Janata Party launched the Maharashtra Bachao Andolan to awaken the government.
Meanwhile, 2345 new patients were diagnosed in the state on Thursday and the total number of corona patients has reached 41,642. In the state, 1408 Corona patients were discharged as well.
So far 11726 patients have been cured across the state. At present, 28,454 patients are undergoing treatment to fight the virus, said Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
