Jammu: Speaking on the arrest of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi in London, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad slammed the ruling BJP party claiming that Nirav Modi is being brought back ahead of the elections and they will send him back after elections.
Azad said, "Such a big merchant flees from the country, is it possible without the permission of the government. They (BJP) had only helped him flee the country, now they are bringing him back. They are bringing him back for the elections, they will send him back after elections."
Modi who is one of the main accused in the PNB fraud case was reportedly arrested from Holborn metro station. Modi's arrest comes days after he was tracked down in London's Theatre district.
